India's foreign exchange reserves shrink to $283.64 billion

India's foreign exchange reserves, including gold and special drawing rights (SDR), which is the reserves currency with IMF, fell to $283.643 billion during the week ended 18 December, from $285.742 billion a week earlier, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in its weekly statistical report.

The dip was largely on account of a fall in foreign currency assets, which declined by $2 billion.

Changes in foreign currency assets include the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies held in its reserves such as the euro, pound sterling and yen, the RBI said.

Thin trading flows and the expectation of continued unsettled market conditions next week after the Christmas holiday left market watchers unsure of the near-term direction in the major currencies.

"We've seen a bit of a pullback in the dollar in the last day or two," said Shaun Osborne, chief currency strategist at TD Securities in Toronto.

there was even a study conducted by the university of texas which found a genetic predisposition to crime from studying adoptees compared to their natural and adoptive parents. i actually need to get a copy of that and see if they controlled the results for intelligence.

the fact is, there are very real fundamental differences in intelligence which can not be changed by any amount of education. (research the G factor) people who lie on the bottom of the intelligence distribution cannot do what society expects of them. this constant press to improve schools is bull. the problem with the schools is that the current crop of students are not of the same caliber as the students of the past. they are incapable of ever acheiving what is demanded of them.

Bill Clinton's famous campaign theme coined by James Carvelle was "it's the economy, stupid", to remind everyone to continue to focus on the economy rather than get sidetracked by the media into other areas.

I think we should realize when confronting social issues and problems, "it's the people, stupid". Educational failure, crime, vandalism, welfare, you name it, it all comes down to the people who are responsible for these problems. The reason these problems have been exacerbated is as simple as demographic change. The America of today is populated by a different people than the America of yesteryear.

To expect policy change to have any appreciable effect is to be completely naive. The only thing which can improve these problems is a new people. A people more like the people of America past. This won't happen by merely holding to the status quo, nor will it happen by trying stop demographic change now to maintain present levels. Improvement in our social problems can only come from revolutionary change and a willingness to rollback the damage which has been done to the historic American population.

It won't be easy, it won't be accepted by the democracy, but it can be accomplished by the remnant of the American nation once the democracy fails from it's own decadence and mediocrity.

i found the ABC reality show "homeland security" to be quite interesting. on one episode they allowed all sorts of arabs and mexicans in, but, one english woman who had a visa was denied entry. she was coming to visit her brother after the death of her mother but because she brought her kitty and some old family photos the "american" immigration officials decided she was planning to overstay her visa so they sent her back.

this is your america, folks. all your heroes on fox news support legal immigration, which means the continued flood of foreigners overwhelming the historic american nation. meanwhile people from the historic roots of america are denied.

Hedge Fund Manager Andrew Lahde of Lahde capital managed to earn an 800% return by betting against the financial mess created by the greedy jews on wall street. he has shut down his hedge fund, is quitting the industry and is going to enjoy his winnings. my kind of man, congratulations andrew, you beat them.

Today I write not to gloat. Given the pain that nearly everyone is experiencing, that would be entirely inappropriate. Nor am I writing to make further predictions, as most of my forecasts in previous letters have unfolded or are in the process of unfolding. Instead, I am writing to say goodbye.

Recently, on the front page of Section C of the Wall Street Journal, a hedge fund manager who was also closing up shop (a $300 million fund), was quoted as saying, "What I have learned about the hedge fund business is that I hate it." I could not agree more with that statement. I was in this game for the money. The low hanging fruit, i.e. idiots whose parents paid for prep school, Yale, and then the Harvard MBA, was there for the taking. These people who were (often) truly not worthy of the education they received (or supposedly received) rose to the top of companies such as AIG, Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers and all levels of our government. All of this behavior supporting the Aristocracy, only ended up making it easier for me to find people stupid enough to take the other side of my trades. God bless America.

There are far too many people for me to sincerely thank for my success. However, I do not want to sound like a Hollywood actor accepting an award. The money was reward enough. Furthermore, the endless list those deserving thanks know who they are.

I will no longer manage money for other people or institutions. I have enough of my own wealth to manage. Some people, who think they have arrived at a reasonable estimate of my net worth, might be surprised that I would call it quits with such a small war chest. That is fine; I am content with my rewards. Moreover, I will let others try to amass nine, ten or eleven figure net worths. Meanwhile, their lives suck. Appointments back to back, booked solid for the next three months, they look forward to their two week vacation in January during which they will likely be glued to their Blackberries or other such devices. What is the point? They will all be forgotten in fifty years anyway. Steve Balmer, Steven Cohen, and Larry Ellison will all be forgotten. I do not understand the legacy thing. Nearly everyone will be forgotten. Give up on leaving your mark. Throw the Blackberry away and enjoy life.

So this is it. With all due respect, I am dropping out. Please do not expect any type of reply to emails or voicemails within normal time frames or at all. Andy Springer and his company will be handling the dissolution of the fund. And don't worry about my employees, they were always employed by Mr. Springer's company and only one (who has been well-rewarded) will lose his job.

I have no interest in any deals in which anyone would like me to participate. I truly do not have a strong opinion about any market right now, other than to say that things will continue to get worse for some time, probably years. I am content sitting on the sidelines and waiting. After all, sitting and waiting is how we made money from the subprime debacle. I now have time to repair my health, which was destroyed by the stress I layered onto myself over the past two years, as well as my entire life -- where I had to compete for spaces in universities and graduate schools, jobs and assets under management -- with those who had all the advantages (rich parents) that I did not. May meritocracy be part of a new form of government, which needs to be established.

On the issue of the U.S. Government, I would like to make a modest proposal. First, I point out the obvious flaws, whereby legislation was repeatedly brought forth to Congress over the past eight years, which would have reigned in the predatory lending practices of now mostly defunct institutions. These institutions regularly filled the coffers of both parties in return for voting down all of this legislation designed to protect the common citizen. This is an outrage, yet no one seems to know or care about it. Since Thomas Jefferson and Adam Smith passed, I would argue that there has been a dearth of worthy philosophers in this country, at least ones focused on improving government. Capitalism worked for two hundred years, but times change, and systems become corrupt. George Soros, a man of staggering wealth, has stated that he would like to be remembered as a philosopher. My suggestion is that this great man start and sponsor a forum for great minds to come together to create a new system of government that truly represents the common man's interest, while at the same time creating rewards great enough to attract the best and brightest minds to serve in government roles without having to rely on corruption to further their interests or lifestyles. This forum could be similar to the one used to create the operating system, Linux, which competes with Microsoft's near monopoly. I believe there is an answer, but for now the system is clearly broken.

Lastly, while I still have an audience, I would like to bring attention to an alternative food and energy source. You won't see it included in BP's, "Feel good. We are working on sustainable solutions," television commercials, nor is it mentioned in ADM's similar commercials. But hemp has been used for at least 5,000 years for cloth and food, as well as just about everything that is produced from petroleum products. Hemp is not marijuana and vice versa. Hemp is the male plant and it grows like a weed, hence the slang term. The original American flag was made of hemp fiber and our Constitution was printed on paper made of hemp. It was used as recently as World War II by the U.S. Government, and then promptly made illegal after the war was won. At a time when rhetoric is flying about becoming more self-sufficient in terms of energy, why is it illegal to grow this plant in this country? Ah, the female. The evil female plant -- marijuana. It gets you high, it makes you laugh, it does not produce a hangover. Unlike alcohol, it does not result in bar fights or wife beating. So, why is this innocuous plant illegal? Is it a gateway drug? No, that would be alcohol, which is so heavily advertised in this country. My only conclusion as to why it is illegal, is that Corporate America, which owns Congress, would rather sell you Paxil, Zoloft, Xanax and other additive drugs, than allow you to grow a plant in your home without some of the profits going into their coffers. This policy is ludicrous. It has surely contributed to our dependency on foreign energy sources. Our policies have other countries literally laughing at our stupidity, most notably Canada, as well as several European nations (both Eastern and Western). You would not know this by paying attention to U.S. media sources though, as they tend not to elaborate on who is laughing at the United States this week. Please people, let's stop the rhetoric and start thinking about how we can truly become self-sufficient.

why do they need guns? well of course to fight a tyrannical government.

so, they say we should vote for mccain, because he won't take our guns.

of course, if he doesn't take our guns, we have no use for them.

now if obama takes our guns, then we would need them, right? but we wouldn't have them.

of course, this would all break down if someone would use their guns, instead of turning them in or hiding them.(i hear many people talking about hiding guns)

the bailout

as to the "bailout", the idea really is not a bailout but a liquidity boost. the idea is to create a market for mortgages and derivatives. the treasury would buy them at current devalued prices with the real possibility of making a profit a few years down the road when the markets stabilize and recover. the real problem came not in straight mortgages but in derivatives of the mortgages. i would pay you X dollars for the first 5 years of mortgage payments or X dollars for the interest payments the first seven years or so forth. the problem is there is not exchange market for this stuff, it's all over the counter (individual to individual with no intermediary)

the big problem right now is the credit markets drying up. banks are afraid to loan to other banks and corporations are afraid to park their cash anywhere but treasuries. consequently fed bill interest rates are dropping near 0% because of the demand and corporate paper rates are going through the roof.

two weeks ago the fed acted with euro central banks to basically save the money markets by injecting $200 billion. yesterday they did it again to the tune of $600 billion and today the japanese did $200 billion. we are at 1 trillion in injections in two weeks. the credit systems has been on the verge of collapse for two weeks. no credit means businesses can't borrow money for inventory or payroll, which means they can't offer credit terms to sell their merchandise.

i think that 2nd amendment case is going to be huge. if the supreme court upholds the 2nd amendment, a lot of cases are going to go up against many laws in a short time and the lower courts will have to follow the precedent of the supreme court. if, however the supreme court throws out the 2nd amendment, i think we will see a big rush towards new laws. all the big citys will have bans, democratic states will have bans, no handguns, no semiautos, no .50s.

gun ownership will be restricted to rural areas (a la obama) and only in more conservative states. and i would expect to see efforts at the federal level as well. if that happens, we will have to flat out say, "republicans, either you support gun rights, or we will destroy you by voting democrat. (some would argue voting for libertarian or constitution party, that would have only half the effect of voting for the democrats and in most states 3rd party candidates are limited due to the difficult ballot rules. the libertarian party has had automatic ballot status in texas almost every year i can remember but i know that is not common nationwide)"

but, is the gun culture dieing in the U.S.? probably so, as the nation has been dissolved, the elites have elected another people. by 2050 over half the population will be made up of people and descendants of people who came here since 1965. the news media and the public schools have brainwashed the youth into becoming the "new socialist man"

now he has some people so worried they take every opportunity to convince people they should not vote for him because he can't win. i guarantee, had he backed down, that would have been the end.

and he will not back down, he will not back down or apologize for taking don black's donation, he won't apologize for what appeared in his newsletter 15 years ago. as long as he refuses to apologize or back down they will be afraid of him.

Ron Paul, the last chance

this is the last opportunity. i was born in 1967, raised by older parents who grew up in the depression and WWII (my dad was in the navy at the tail end). culturally I'm a relic from the 1950s because of my older parents. i believe my America ended before i was born. the America created by my ancestors 350 years ago is gone.

Ron Paul is a relic too. this is his last opportunity.this is our last opportunity. the demographics are shifting. when the knight on a white horse rides up he will find an America occupied by a majority who do not share our ancestry or culture.

the old white folks who come out to vote every election are dying, they won't be replaced. they have bought into the culture change, forgotten their America of their youth. they sold out their own people to appear "nice", to be accepted in polite company. there is no return, Americans do not have the will to restore what was, soon they will have no majority to vote for that return even if they wanted it.

Ron Paul is weak, he is humble, he is not the man you would choose to lead a revolution, but he is the man of the moment, that moment is now and there will not be another for America. Ron Paul, more than anything, represents an opportunity for us to say, "no, i do not approve, you may take my country, destroy my culture, devastate my nation, but i do not give you my consent".

i think there still exists a ghost of the spirit of my ancestors who came to this land in the 1600s. men who built a future out of wilderness, expecting no handout or rescue if they failed. men with the courage to get on a ship, with no confidence of even reaching their destination, expecting no welcome if they arrived. i haven't seen such men, but i have hope they may someday spring from our miserable loins. a new flame of freedom, a restoration of the culture I've never known, a new nation out of the ashes of an America who died long ago, may she rest in peace.

from an economic stand point the fair tax would be advantageous versus an income tax bringing in the same amount of taxes. with a sales tax you discourage consumption and encourage savings and investment. if i have a favorite stock and i want a new dlp hdtv, if i buy the tv and have to pay 28% tax on it (plus state sales tax too) it just might piss me off enough to decide i don't need the tv and buy some more stock instead.

now keynesians would say that would cause a huge depression and "90% of the economy is consumer based", which is kind of true, but you don't get rich by buying a bunch of consumer crap. individuals get wealthy by saving and investing instead of consuming. nations get wealthy by encouraging savings and investment and discouraging consumption. so, i say the keynesians are a bunch of poopy heads, (although i did receive an award as the outstanding graduate in economics from a keynesian about 15 years ago)

the other big thing in our economy about a sales tax (the fair tax) is that we tax manufacturers on their profits from exports, most other countries don't tax foreign earnings thus giving their manufacturers a tax advantage. the fair tax would leave exports untaxed. practically this probably isn't that big a deal as most U.S. companies have set up tax dogging foreign subsidiaries to "offshore" their income. but it couldn't hurt and could defiantly help small non-multinational manufacturers.

so the shortages are a classic price-control induced problem. now what will happen to total oil demand if they allow gasoline and diesel prices to rise to market levels?

what is really interesting to me is the inflation issue. they are limiting the fuel prices to hold down price inflation. so is the inflation an internal monetary issue or the result of converting overseas earnings to renminbi. there is a limit to foreign investors converting their currency of $50,000. i know they do allow domestic companies to convert their foreign earnings, that's where their 1.4 trillion dollars in currency reserves came from.

in a free market the local price inflation would cause imports to increase as well as the local currency to fall in value. but they have not only fuel price controls but currency restrictions instead of allowing a free float. the current thinking is the renminbi is undervalued versus the dollar, but if this inflation gets out of control the renminbi should be falling versus the dollar.

bob note: jared taylor has an interesting explanation of regression to the mean in relation to the downward mobility of the children of upper and middle class blacks. i've always believed that there is some limit to regression to the mean when dealing with the true genetic variation. if 57 genes have an influence on intelligence then two parents with high proportions of the good genes will produce children with a high percentage of the good genes.

if you consider a hierarchy of eye colors brown, green and blue. if you have a population with 98% of genes blue and uniform levels of reproduction, in 100 generations you will still have 98% blue genes. while a large part of variation in height or intelligence is genetic (probably more than half), there is a part of height and intelligence variation due to environmental factors. that portion due to environmental factors or some other non-specific non-genetic factor would seem to be subject to regression to the mean.

a related subject is that of hybrid vigor. plant cultivators have long known that a hybrid of two related species can result in children with greater growth potential and vigor, but that children of to the children regress to the mean of their parent populations. there is some study that interbreeding between white and north-east asian populations results in higher intelligence than the parents. whites average 102 on a U.S. normed iq test while north-east asians (japanese, koreans, selected northern chinese) average 105 on a U.S. normed test. instead of children averaging 103.5 they average higher than their asian parent.

the study i've seen does not track children of two of these mixed breeds (which may not be common as the children more likely will mate with a pure breed of either white or asian). i have a theory that multigenerations of these hybrids could maintain much of their iq advantage even without selective breeding. suppose that the white population tends to concentrate their advantage in a group of 35 of 57 iq genes, and the asians tend to concentrate their advantage in a different 35 of 57 genes. when someone of either population gets advantageous genes from out side that group they will have much higher iq. but, when interbreeding a child is likely to get different common advantageous genes from each group, which would be passed down to offspring each generation establishing a new higher mean for the hybrid population to regress to.

He won’t admit it, but Ron Paul is practically running on my third-party ticket. And while I don’t agree with him on every point. I was impressed that he raised four million dollars in one day. Unless my campaign starts showing some signs of life, I might just vote for him next November.

Sure, I don’t particularly agree with his immigration policy of state-run militia’s running around on the southern border, shooting at anything that speaks Spanish. Nor do I sleep well at night thinking about his proposed dissolution of my precious EPA and Consumer Product Safety Commission. For those who check in here regularly to see if I have posted anything about the financial markets, I suppose that I must mention the last 24 hours, even though my comment has to be "steady as she goes," an admonishment from my ship-driving days, generally given by the officer with "the con" to the bridge crew during times of distracting events, so as to ensure nobody strays from existing directives.

I still don't see them allowing the stock market to crash as almost everybody seems to be predicting. They are creating way too much debt-based credit that they call money for that to happen - it has to go somewhere, after all, and it sure isn't trickling down to us mere serfs out here. For that reason, I see PAAS, SLW and SSRI continuing to be safe ways to leverage silver price increases by two to three times, for those of us who simply must have some of our wealth in paper investments rather than physical metal.

Yes, the dollar has dropped a full index point in 24 hours, breaking through 76 like the paper barrier it was. It appears that they are desperately applying the brakes, though, so that the plunge does not get out of hand. Obviously, 75 was and is being defended with everything they have. How long? Dunno, but not long.

Recent announcements made plain that, suddenly, American authorities have flip-flopped and now are behind the regular and orderly decline of the dollar, in a nod to the reality that they cannot bring it back from its death march. However, they still can influence its rate of destruction and are doing so, though even that will be lost to them at some point.

As you well know, gold and silver took off like skyrockets yesterday, with gold suddenly well above 800 and 1,000 well in sight. Silver finally got with the program, a bit later than normal but now acting perfectly normal for times like this - psychotic, in other words. Until they started hammering metals in the overseas markets last night (continuing through to this moment), silver had jumped a full dollar. This is the way it works. You don't try to time silver or you will miss its moves, both up and down, as they come in a hurry.

Just one week after lamenting that I didn't understand why silver yet had made its move, I saw it twitching and called this upleg, saying "I think we are on the upswell of just such a radical silver spike right this moment." Clearly, now we are in just such a spike right now, folks. Normally, I would look for a pullback in both gold and silver at this point, and many analysts are calling for that. However, I have a gut feeling this upleg, while it might see some momentary downward twitching, will be quite substantial. Too many things are going wrong and the dollar is dropping exactly in accordance with "The Magnificent Mogambo's U.S. Dollar Index Predictor" (MMUSDIP).

Just what is the MMUSDIP, you ask? The Mighty Mogambu Guru explains: "You paint a dollar sign on a rock, which you can also use to defend yourself, and (according to the instructions), 'Hold the rock in an outstretched hand, making sure the rock is well away from your body, then say aloud 'Oh, Magnificent Mogambo U.S. Dollar Index Predictor, what will the dollar's value be over the long run?' then let go of the rock.' It's uncanny how accurate it is!"

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann delivered a blistering special comment on Monday concerning the true significance of the dispute over waterboarding and the essential role played by torture in maintaining the George W. Bush presidency.

"The presidency of George W. Bush has now devolved into a criminal conspiracy to cover the ass of George W. Bush," Olbermann began. "All of it is now, after one revelation last week, transparently clear for what it is ... the refocusing of our entire nation towards keeping this mock president ... and all the others from potential prosecution for having approved or ordered the illegal torture of prisoners being held in the name of our country."

The revelation to which Olbermann referred was the account of former acting assistant attorney general Daniel Levin, who, when assigned to assess the legality of the administration's "enhanced interrogation techniques," decided the most direct method was to have himself waterboarded.

"Have you, Mr. Bush, ever done anything that personally courageous?" Olbermann asked. "Perhaps when you've gone to Walter Reed and teared up over the maimed servicemen and then gone back to the White House and confirmed and determined that there would be more maimed servicemen?"

"Daniel Levin should have a statue in his honor in Washington, right now," Olbermann stated. "Instead, he was forced out as acting assistant attorney general nearly three years ago because he had the guts to do what George Bush could not do in a million years. ... They waterboard him, and he wrote that even though he knew those doing it meant him no harm ... he could not stop the terror screaming from inside him, could not quell the horror."

"Waterboarding, he said, is torture," Olbermann continued. "And he wrote it down ... somewhere where it could be contrasted with the words of this country's 43rd president, 'The United States of America does not torture.'"

According to Olbermann, Levin was forced to modify his report to suggest that waterboarding might not be torture if it was done carefully and then was fired because of his inability to lie to protect the president. "If it ever got out," Olbermann noted, once more addressing Bush directly, "you would have been screwed. And screwed you are."

Olbermann then went on to ask why waterboarding was even used on terrorists when it's well documented that "torture does not get them to tell the truth."

But what about democracy at home? Here in the US? If the Bush administration ever felt desperate enough politically, could it or would it ever arbitrarily declare martial law? A yes answer might not be so far out there, and it would arguably be legal, thanks to a rider inserted in the 2007 Defense Authorization Act.

Defense Authorization Acts are passed every fiscal year to authorize appropriations for the Department of Defense. When the 2007 draft was written, amendments were made to the “Insurrection Act,” a bill passed in 1807 to give the president power to deploy troops in the event of an insurrection or rebellion. The main changes made to the Insurrection Act were primarily in §333. The Defense Authorization Act of 2007 summarized the changes as follows:

[(Sec. 1076) Revises federal provisions allowing the President to utilize the Armed Forces in connection with interference with federal and state law to allow the President to employ the Armed Forces and National Guard in federal service to restore public order in cases of natural disaster, epidemic or other public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or domestic violence. Requires the President to notify Congress within 14 days of the exercise of such authority. Authorizes the President, when exercising such authority, to direct the Secretary to provide supplies, services, and equipment to persons affected by the situation.]

So in short, where the original Insurrection Act only permitted the declaration of martial law in the face of a rebellion, the new changes allow the president to declare martial law for virtually anything deemed an emergency.

Also alarming was a phrase added to §334 of the new Insurrection Act.

[Whenever the President considers it necessary to use the militia or the armed forces under this chapter, he shall, by proclamation, immediately order the insurgents or those obstructing the enforcement of the laws to disperse and retire peaceably to their abodes within a limited time.]

“Those obstructing the enforcement of the laws” could of course potentially be interpreted to apply to anyone the administration saw as an obstruction to its policies i.e. peaceably demonstrating activists, opposition political leaders, etc.

So now that the president has new broad powers to declare martial law, and, unlike Pakistan, a supreme court that’s in many ways philosophically aligned with the Bush Administration, the question is: are there any feasible scenarios under which Bush might declare martial law before his term is up? Though the likelihood for such a move might require a fickle time-line of events, it’s probably not as unlikely as some might think.

While many on the left have criticized the economy, they have mainly done so for the wrong reasons and their “solutions” will only make the situation worse.

Fortunately we have the power to stop them and we cannot let the opportunity to do so pass us by. This is a unique moment in history, a fork in the road to serfdom. We may actually be able to prove our founding fathers wrong in their belief that democracy does not work (For those of you who do not know our nation was founded as a Republic not a Democracy. Perhaps with your help we can prove that the special interests of political factions can actually be overcome by an inspired electorate motivated solely by the love of freedom and a respect for the constitution.

Think about the sacrifices others have made for this country. Think of those who have given their lives to secure the liberties we are now losing to a tyrannical Federal Government. The signers of the Declaration of Independence not only risked their sacred honor but their very lives. You have a chance to do something to reclaim the principles embedded in that document yet risk nothing but a lousy 2,300 bucks, the cost of a single plasma TV. If we all make that one small sacrifice, maybe, just maybe, those who have died defending our freedoms may finally rest in peace.

Giving money or voting for any other political candidate, Democrat or Republican, is a complete waste of time, effort and money. The only person in the race whose victory will make any difference what-so-ever is Ron Paul. Even if he does not win, just having his positions heard by a wider audience will make a bigger difference to the country than the outcome of the election itself.

Do not get me wrong; electing Ron Paul will not stop America’s day of reckoning from coming. The piper will have to be paid no matter who is in the White House. However, President Ron Paul will be extremely important if we are going to dig our way out of this giant hole. Any other declared presidential candidate will make the job far more difficult if not completely impossible.

Rebuilding a viable industrial economy will require a return to our constitutional roots of limited government, low taxes, minimal regulation, and sound money. Ron Paul is the only candidate capable of bring those reforms about. He has already proven that his principles are more important then his own reelection. He is the only man in Congress I know that power did not corrupt. In fact, with Ron Paul as President, many others in Congress might actually find the courage to vote their conscience as well.

Anyway, Mike "Open Borders and Friend of Tyson Foods" Huckabee did the Neocon thing today and jerked down that embarassing banner. Now social conservatives visiting Huckabee's website won't be informed as to how damaging Huckabee's campaign to split the social conservative vote is.

LITTLE ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life.

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," Huckabee said, citing the Golden Rule. "I have tried to govern that way and it stands to reason that I really do believe that what made this great country so great and so unique is that it has always been a place for people to run to - and not run from.

"I would hope that no matter who we are, or where we are from, that America should always be a place that opens its arms, opens it heart, opens its spirit to people who come because they want the best for their families ...," Huckabee said as the largely Hispanic audience gave him a standing ovation.

Huckabee was the keynote speaker, along with Tyson Foods Inc. Chairman and CEO John Tyson, at a noon luncheon of the League of United Latin American Citizens, which is holding its 76th annual convention in Little Rock.

About 10,000 political, community and business leaders, along with exhibitors and speakers are in Little Rock attending the convention at the Statehouse Convention Center. The convention started Monday and runs through Saturday. (....)

"Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority," Huckabee said jokingly as the crowd roared in laughter.

He told the LULAC delegates that their presence in the state's capital city was very important because Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the nation.

"Your gathering is so very significant for our state," Huckabee said. "We are delighted to have you."

Despite several light moments, Huckabee did not stray away from several controversial issues that made him a target of criticism during the recently ended 85th General Assembly. He said Arkansas needs to make the transition from a traditional Southern state to one that recognizes and cherishes diversity "in culture, in language and in population."

"This is an issue that is going to require extraordinary efforts on both sides of the border, particularly those coming from Mexico," Huckabee said of verifying the status of illegal aliens. "But I am confident that our government will recognize that we should accommodate people who wish to provide the best opportunities for their families (and) employers so that we can make sure our economy has the necessary work force."

During the legislation session, Huckabee criticized an immigration bill by Republican senators Jim Holt of Springdale and Denny Altes of Fort Smith as un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life.

Senate Bill 206, which died in the Senate, would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and also force state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally. Holt, R-Springdale, replied later to Huckabee's comments that Christian charity does not include turning a blind eye to lawbreaking.

The Republican governor, who many believe will run for president in 2008, also backed legislation that would have opened the door for illegal immigrants in Arkansas to receive college scholarships.

House Bill 1525 by Rep. Joyce Elliott, D-Little Rock, was approved by the House but eventually failed in the Senate. Huckabee reiterated Wednesday that he believes every child, regardless of their parent's immigration status, should have an opportunity to receive an education in the U.S.

"I ... believe that an education for every child is the most important single factor to give everyone to be their very best," he said.

In one humorous moment, Huckabee sounded very much like a presidential candidate when he recalled his educational upbringing in Hope and reminded the crowd that another famous Arkansas governor and former president grew up in the small southwest Arkansas town.

"I too still believe in a place call Hope," Huckabee said, mimicking former President Clinton's famous acceptance speech at the 1992 Democratic National Convention.

Before Huckabee spoke, John Tyson thanked the Hispanic community for standing by the Springdale-based food giant during the federal government's investigation of the company a few years ago. The U.S. Justice Department investigation alleged that Tyson helped to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S. and employed them at various chicken-processing plants across the Southeast.

After a seven-week trial, Tyson and several managers of poultry processing plants were acquitted in March 2003 of those charges.

"At the time, it was a very difficult and very tough time for our company," Tyson said. "Thank you LULAC for standing by us."

Tyson also credited LULAC leaders for pushing the company to add Hispanics to the Tyson board and promote more Latinos to upper management and executive positions.

He also said in that last 15 years, the number of Hispanics that work for the Arkansas company has increased significantly.

"I am proud to tell you that more than 40,000 of our workers are Latinos," Tyson said of the company's 114,000 employees. "We are learning, growing and benefiting from that diversity."

The British version of Halloween is Guy Fawkes Night, November 5th. Guy is a well known anarchist who tried to blow up the British parliament, with everybody in it, on November 5th, 1605. Anyway, the Republican presidential candidate, Ron Paul, wants to dismantle (figuratively blow up) a number of large government agencies (without people in them of course). His supporters, now numbering at least 3% of registered Republicans and probably numbering at least 3% of the US population, are not anarchists, despite their choice of Monday, November 5th as the day when they try to get 100,000 people to donate $100 each in a "Money Bomb" that would put Ron Paul in the major leagues in terms of being able to compete financially in the 2008 election cycle. Ron Paul has already raised enough money to be considered a first tier candidate (financially), but he wants to break records with the November 5th effort.

Who are these people?

I went under cover in the past week to investigate the "Ron Paul Revolution". On the Internet there is a lot to be found on the phenomenon and a lot of evidence that this man is the most popular candidate among users of the Internet. Whereas a well-made amateur video can expect to get no more than 2000 views on YouTube, there are dozens of Ron Paul videos with an excess of 600,000 views. My favorite videos are the Ron Paul Girl series which features a bright young American college coed who explains politics with a deadpan humor such as "Howard Dean was doing well until he left his Ritalin prescription at home in Vermont". A good news site to keep track of would be DailyPaul.com. Ron Paul has more Meetup groups and more Meetup members than all the other presidential candidates in both parties combined.

Ron Paul supporters are an eclectic group, mostly under 45, pushing the 72 year old Texas congressman at least in an effort to make sure other Republicans and the media mention the Constitution and individual rights at all during the coming election year 2008.

Before I describe who I see them to be, I will explain who they are not: Paulites are not Moonbat Lefties. A Moonbat is defined as someone who swallows the entire Marxist smorgasbord of which being reflexively anti-war really means wanting the white patriarchy to be defeated. If a Paulite agrees with Ron Paul about not wanting to fight wars all the time, it comes from recognizing that a nation's worst enemy is most often itself, and fighting corruption and defending freedom at home is a full-time job. That being said, Ron Paul has been getting more donation support from pro-war vets and active duty service-people than any other candidate.

Socialists are absent in the crowd of Paul supporters. Gender feminists are absent in the crowd. Men who no longer have a pair are absent as well. One would think this might be a good milieu for the Men's Rights Movement.

My observation of the make-up of Ron Paul supporters so far:

1) True intellectuals who may have actually read the Constitution and want to at least send a message about that
2) Successful businesspeople, between 25-45, who would rather save for retirement than pay for more government
3) Expats, Americans living in other countries whom Congress apparently believes can still be regulated and ruled over
4) Military, especially those who may have been wounded or almost killed defending the Constitution. They often disagree with Ron Paul on the war, but still support him.
5) Males who still have a pair and who at least want to send a message about men's rights
6) Women who respect males who still have a pair
7) Women who really think for themselves and not for the sisterhood

That would be about 3% total of the US population.

In order to get more votes than that, the above people will have to get their parents and relatives on board and convinced, especially those with landlines who are, apparently, the only ones the media pollsters contact.

I forgot to mention that most foreigners, who know about Ron Paul, are for him as well. A poll in Switzerland has him winning the US Presidency if the Swiss were the ones who decided. In Germany, a poll has shown that Ron Paul loses to Dennis Kucinich by a few votes.

Don't laugh: Europe was solidly behind Gore and Kerry in the last elections and the European preference influenced American voters big-time. If European journalists play up Ron Paul over the next year, which would be in accordance with the preference of many of their citizens, it could boost Ron Paul's stature considerably. If Nicolas Sarkozy or Vladimir Putin were to mix with American politics by just discussing Ron Paul's ideas, the ensuing controversy would not hurt the candidate either.

Oscar Wilde once said "The only thing worse than being talked about, is not being talked about".

We will see this coming week whether Ron Paul's November 5th "Money Bomb" event rivals Guy Fawkes in terms of getting people to talk about him.

Ron Paul believes in bringing troops home from Iraq. He believes the invasion was a mistake and he believes the US owes the world an apology.

Ron Paul believes the civil liberties in America, like being able to freely gamble online, should be restored. Ron Paul believes there should be no federal income tax. Ron Paul believes in free trade, he believes in getting government to stop policing other countries, and he believes the government should stay as far out of the lives of American citizens as possible.

Today, Americans showed their support for his views in big ways.

Ron Paul will certainly now always remember the 5th of November as upon the day's conclusion his campaign raised more than $4.2 million dollars from more than 37,000 different contributors. That is more than Mitt Romney raised in one day in January, which was previously the top day in fundraising for a Republican candidate.

Maybe the most amazing part about the amount of money raised is that it was all raised online.

Paul's website reports that his campaign only needs $12 million by December 31st in order to win the primaries in New Hampshire, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina, and Nevada. As of midnight November 6th they were at $7.1 million and the numbers were rising quickly by the hundreds of thousands.

The money has not been reflected in the polls... yet. However, drive through any major road where billboards hang and you will learn about the serious support for Ron Paul. Check out your local college campus and you will see cars revealing a 'Ron Paul Revolution'.

A day that started with expectations of roughly 18,000 giving roughly $1.8 million to the Ron Paul campaign produced final results that were truly an exploding money bomb: $4.2 million from nearly 40,000 contributors.

Trevor Lyman's ThisNovember5th.com website led to an extraordinary political explosion yesterday as it helped raise more than $4.2 million in just 24 hours on November 5, 2007 for the Ron Paul campaign. It was the largest Republican haul in history, the largest single online haul in history (dwarfing Howard Dean's famous $700,000 day four years ago), and it was apparently the third largest fundraising day of any kind for all candidates, eclipsed only by Hillary Clinton's $6.2 million splash earlier this year and a slightly smaller day for Barack Obama.

That brings the Paul Haul for 4th Quarter 2007 to nearly $7.25 million, almost 50% higher than its shocking $5 million fundraising effort in the 3rd quarter of the year. $10 million is now looking like a very realistic possibility for the entire 4th quarter, and even $15 million may not be out of reach.

One of the main goals of the now famous "money bomb" was to get the attention of major media, which is just now beginning to happen. Google News shows roughly 2,800 articles on the subject of Paul's fundraising jaw-dropper, including articles by the Associated Press, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and ABC News.

I hate to be a Johnny-one-note, – but there is ZERO chance of Ron Paul being elected without vote count watchers in NH and Iowa, and a national outcry about the other 48 states, which, as of now, will be counted by 4 computer companies (Diebold, ES &S, Hart, Sequia, -- in secret), which companies have been illegally delegated the authority to “count” our votes IN SECRET for 96% of the votes in our country. (These four companies are secretly counting the votes for about 3100 of the 3142 counties in our country.)

Bob Schulz of We the People Foundation has filed a National Clean Elections Lawsuit, -- the amended complaint was filed Friday, November 2, 2007 We have 147 Plaintiffs, -- about 3 per state, and in a few states, only 2. All 50 states have been brought into the lawsuit.

Also, I don’t know if you are aware of it: the neo-con, Bush friend, super-Zionist Charles Koch (pronounced Coke) runs the largest private company in the USA; he is worth 12 Billion dollars – and he is another Haliburton type company (except privately held) – with mega-contracts in Iraq - - these are COST plus mark up contracts, which guarantees profits for Koch Industries and Haliburton – but the Big Media never mentions Koch. Charles Koch FOUNDED the CATO institute in 1977, and has funded it since that time; i.e., the CATO institute is ultimately another Zionist/New World Order front. The Koch “family” has foisted “experts” on Kent Snyder, the Chairman of the Ron Paul Campaign. Here are the definite enemies (of a Ron Paul victory) within the campaign we have identified:

- - - - Justine Lam, a Chinese-American, a young lady, who is the webmaster, and was once an intern at the Cato Institute – she keeps the website dumbed down, does not announce Ron Paul victories on his own website, as well as makes it an obstacle rather than a help to growing the campaign. The websites www.DailyPaul.com and www.RonPaulforPresident2008.com --- are volunteer run websites that run circles around the official campaign site (because the webmasters are sincere Ron Paul supporters who want Ron Paul to WIN!). Lam is an inveterate enemy of the National Clean Elections Lawsuit, and fanatically opposed anyone in the campaign helping us try to get an open count at the Iowa Straw Poll; obviously, those above her did also. These same paid staff people are against even raising the issue of watching the vote count. (The official Ron Paul Campaign Paid Staff line is: “You’re hurting the campaign” and, always said in hushed tones, “We wouldn’t want this to reflect badly on Dr. Paul.” Ron Paul’s own statement contradict these snakes, as he said, “Now is the time to ask questions when he landed in Ames, Iowa.

Three egregious examples among many from website sabotage: First, the official Ron Paul website (www.RonPaul2008.com) [originally] adamantly REFUSED to put up the effort for 100,000 supporters to donate $100 to Ron Paul on November 5, 2007. To me it is clear that the snakes within do not want this effort to succeed, lest it be the biggest single day of fundraising for any candidate in US history. Ron Paul HIMSELF is promoting this on the campaign trail. Second, when Ron Paul won the CNBC after-debate email poll a few weeks ago, an online poll which limited the process to one vote for one computer, by a margin of 75% to 6% for the next closest candidate, --- and (thirdly) when he won the 2nd FOX News Debate Poll, done by text message, limited to one vote per cell phone, -- in which Ron Paul won by a landslide of 33% to 18% for the 2nd place GOP Presidential candidate, -- Justine Lam refused to post these shocking victories for Ron Paul on the RonPaul2008.com campaign website ( !!!! ) --- I personally called Ron Paul HQ on that, and the guy fielding calls said, “We don’t do that type of thing” – and then came up with one excuse more ridiculous than the other for about a seven minute call. As I see it, these Cato-type agents are involved in a “Big Time Wrestling” type game, where they understand that they are always to “fight” so that the pre-determined winner’s path to victory is NOT obstructed. Next:

- - - - - Jesse Benton – national media spokesman, lied the Tuesday after the Ames Straw Poll on the Alex Jones Show (in response to Walter Reddy of Connnecticut who was in Ames, and had told the truth about what happened the day before. Benton said to Jones and other media that in the Iowa Straw Poll “everything was done pretty much in the open” – a blatant lie, which he knew was a blatant lie, because he was Ames, Iowa. In fact, Benton knew that all was counted in secret at the Iowa Straw Poll on the TOTALLY discredited Diebold machines (the state of California had decertified the Diebold machines in late July, 2007 – about two weeks before the Ames, Straw Poll on August 11, 2007 (the California Secretary of State, Debra Bowan, acted on the results of a dedicated study carried out by the University of California).

I was given the opportunity to expose the whole thing on the largest talk show in Iowa, Jan Mickelson on WHO, three days before the straw poll. --- it was state wide radio with about 50,000 listeners. ----- Jesse Benton, and the others I am about to mention – took the side of the Iowa GOP and the Big media, and Diebold – AGAINST us, the “Vote in Sunshine” volunteers from numerous states, who were trying to conduct an exit poll with affidavits, to double-check the vote. Benton is about 30 yrs old and has worked for five or six establishment Washington think tanks and political organizations.

Regarding the two men below, I note that the names are almost always Jewish names. Why is this remarkable in the case of those at the very top of the paid staff on the Ron Paul campaign? Because, based on the constitution, Ron Paul is for cutting out ALL foreign aid. To Zionist Jews, when they hear this, they only hear one thing: no more welfare for Israel. We all know that Jewish people in official Washington and New York, barring a precious few, are going to be fanatically pro-Zionist, and pro-Israel lobby. Therefore, unless Jewish political operatives have a PUBLIC track record of repudiating Zionism and the Israel Lobby spanning MANY years, we can assume they are in the Ron Paul campaign to be the eyes and ears of AIPAC or some other powerful Zionist operation, and to MANAGE the volunteers so as to try to prevent them (us) from laying a glove on the Ruling Elite, i.e, -- on the computer vote-fraud syndicate, or on the 5 Big TV Networks, which are actually one and the same operation. With that said:

- - - - - Don Rasmussen, self-indentified paid “special assistant” to the Ron Paul National Campaign; – Rasmussen is almost always a Jewish name; he came on a NATIONAL VOLUNTEER call for Ron Paul last Thursday night, proudly announcing he was calling from Ron Paul HQ in Virginia. He adamantly (and absurdly) defended the first “Ron Paul TV ad” for New Hampshire – an abortion of an effort, made to sabotage Ron Paul. It is on page 5 or so at www.RonPaulforPresident2008.com (that’s a volunteer website, by the way).---- This was an ad made by Neo-Cons – for Neo-Cons to make fun of. Laura Ingram, the neo-con national talk show host, has been playing the audio of this sabotage ad on her show everyday, and making fun of it and making fun of Ron Paul each time. This Rasmussen called into this national Ron Paul campaign Call, which I was on – and he disconnected himself when the questioning from me and Walter Reddy got too hot after he made his “in your face – we gave you vomit, now eat it and thank us for it” -- statement. My take; this is a man sent in by the Neo-Con faction to manage the Ron Paul volunteers and the ads, so that the Big Media and the Votefraud Syndicate come out unscathed. Rasmussen also said he was in Ames, Iowa, that I had hurt the campaign by going on state wide radio three days before the Straw Poll and “changing the focus from Ron Paul to how the vote was counted” (?????), said that he had worked closely with the Iowa GOP leaders, and that he KNEW the vote was counted properly. When asked how he knew the vote was counted properly, as the ballots were counted in secrecy (to this day) on Diebold computers, his phone “disconnected.” When the fine young lady who got him on the call, called him back to hook him up again, Rasmussen said he didn’t think the national Ron Paul Volunteer call would be an appropriate forum to answer any more questions. (Yes, for snakes inside the Ron Paul campaign like Rasmussen, it was DEFINITELY not an appropriate forum, lest he be totally exposed as an enemy agent in the course of one phone call before dozens and dozens of people. (By the way, you can still hear the original Jan Michelson Show on WHO, where I squared off against the GOP leaders of Iowa over the Diebold machines to be used at the Straw Poll, by going to votefraud.org – and clicking on “Audios and Videos” near the top of the home page.) Next culprit:

- - - - - Jeff Greenspan – paid Coordinator of volunteers in the Western United States – again Greenspan is almost always a Jewish name (as in Alan Greenspan, former head of the FED), is in the process of blatantly trying to thwart any effective activity, and to cause volunteers to fight with each other instead of fighting for Ron Paul against the Big Media and the other campaigns, as well as accusing the hardest working volunteer groups of “hurting the campaign” on the most absurd pretexts imaginable.

These people have been represented as coming out of “Libertarian” circles, thus blindsiding Kent Snyder and Ron Paul, -- as Snyder and Paul have trusted these sources in the past. Charles Koch, top Zionist Neo-Con, has funded the Libertarian type movements – to sow trouble and defeat in just such a moment as the Ron Paul for President Campaign. I feel sure that the above people are “Charles Koch circle of influence” agents. EVEN if they just want to make sure they have a good paying job waiting for them after the 2008 Presidential campaign, they are as good as enemy agents, for they will not lay a glove on the Big Media or the VoteFraud Syndicate (for a definition of the votefraud syndicate – go to votefraud.org), lest they be ostracized from Official New York/Washington power structures.

I don't often forward the work of others and very, very rarely do I make a direct pitch for contributions. Today, I do both, possessed of the certitude that this really is America's last chance.

Make a difference. Be part of the solution. It may already be too late, but that does not mean that we cannot do that which we should have done so long ago.

We must do our dead-level best to ensure the Republican nomination of Ron Paul for the Presidency, then we must see to his election. Then, we must keep him alive and help him to carry out the program - our program - he espouses.

I am deadly serious about this. I have, until now, hesitated to fully embrace Ron Paul publicly only because I feared that might be used by some to "taint" him, somehow. Now they are smearing him as a radical anti-Semite, regardless, simply because of his traditional, Constitutional positions, so my concern no longer seems well placed.

I have met and spoken with Dr. Paul, Texas Congressman, and found him to be the real deal: thoughtful, considerate and passionate about making real change in America - our America!

If elected, Ron Paul will end the Iraq war.

If elected, Ron Paul will reduce government.

If elected, Ron Paul will eliminate deficit spending.

If elected, Ron Paul will restore our civil liberties.

You can see in the two dramatic graphics below, comparing the ACTUAL boots-on-the-ground support of Ron Paul in Meetup Groups to that of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in Huckabee's home turf of Northern Arkansas!, that Huckabee's alleged "viability" has been concocted by the Neocon mass media in the last few weeks. The Neocons are terrified of Ron Paul. Romney couldn't take away Paul's social conservative vote. So they brought in Fred Thompson to try. Thompson failed. Now, the Neocons, in desperation, are promoting Mike Huckabee in order to divide the social conservative vote, and thereby prevent Ron Paul from picking up most of that vote and thereby winning the Republican nomination. If Huckabee continues doing this all the way to the primaries, and derails the Ron Paul Revolution thereby, he will be hated by patriots forever.

Notice that Ron Paul has the actual winning "boots-on-the-ground" with 355 Meetup Members to "Tyson Foods" Huckabee's 3. Yes that's three! But Huckabee, as the latest Neocon "Paul Killer", is getting mass media love sufficient to drain off and divide social conservative support that is required for a Paul win over the "big name" Neocons Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, and McCain. Tancredo is not the slime ball that Huckabee is, but he needs to consider that patriots are going to be pissed for all time at any candidates who divide off social conservatives from the Ron Paul Revolution, thus enabling a Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, or McCain win in the primaries.

You may ask yourself: how could ANY patriot support Huckabee, in light of the fact that Mike Huckabee has a PROVEN record of support for illegal aliens, and in light of the fact that Mike Huckabee is EVEN MORE of a war-crazy than George W. Bush himself.

The answer is pathetic. Sadly, millions of American TVangelicals think that a phoney and Neocon like Mike Huckabee must be more "anointed" of God than the genuine patriot and Christian Ron Paul for the stupid reason that Mike Huckabee is a Southern Baptist evangelical pastor. Yep! As stupid a reason as that. Too bad Ron chose to be a medical doctor, delivering 4,000 babies, rather than his boyhood ambition to be a Lutheran pastor. That would have made him more "anointed." Right?

It gets even more embarassing than that, for us White folks who like to believe that our race has native intelligence. Another KEY reason that these particular TVangelicals consider Mr. Open Borders Huckabee to be more "anointed" than one of the greatest men in our people's history, and a man who could actually become their President and save their nation (and their churches, families, and everything else they value) is that (you won't believe this...but I assure you it's true) Mike Huckabee is "the only candidate who has made the pledge not to 'divide the land'." You may ask, what the heck is that? That means that Mike Huckabee has pledged that as the President he can't possibly ever be (just because of such goofball beliefs) he would never allow the Israelis to engage in ANY negotiations with the native Palestinian people of Palestine that would result in giving the Palestinians full control over ANY of their own native lands!! You think I'm kidding. But go check this out. Any such negotiations with the Palestinian people that would turn over ANY of their own land to their own control would be "dividing the land." You think I'm kidding. Go check it out.

The other idiocy being pushed by Mike "we must support the Surge" Huckabee is that God wants us to be at war with Arabs and Persians in the Middle East who have never done ANYTHING to harm our nation! In a nation that is already 70% against the insane, illegal, criminal, and fraudulent Neocon war, Huckabee is egotistical enough to push evangelicals into a stupid Custer's last stand of war support. Just when evangelicals were starting to listen to saner voices in their midst who suggested that perhaps it wasn't Jesus that wanted them to go to war in Iraq but Michael Chertoff and Rupert Murdoch instead...along comes Mike "I'd nuke 'em in a heartbeat" Huckabee to whip them back into the war frenzy that the Neocons have spent six years of false flag "terror" and media lies to instill. Yes, that's what Huckabee said in a national debate, standing right next to Ron Paul: "I'd attack Iran in a heartbeat." An incredulous Chris Matthews asked Huckabee: "Without authorization from Congress?" Huckabee's Neocon answer?: "In a heartbeat."

Of course, Mike "never-served-a-day-in-the-military" Huckabee is an obvious better choice for Commander in Chief to these particular TVangelicals, than Air Force Captain and Flight Surgeon Ronald E. Paul, 5-year veteran USAF and subsequent Air National Guardsman. "Attack-Iran-in-a-heartbeat" Huckabee was too busy personally pushing for the integration of the previously all-White Emanuel Baptist Church as a young pastor in Arkansas to have time to serve in the military.

Over idiocy like this, some evangelicals are willing to spoil the campaign of the worthiest and most heroic Christian candidate ever to have a good chance at the Presidency. And if that's the way they go in the primaries, patriots will remember that. And they will forever blame these same TVangelicals for screwing up the best shot patriots ever had to elect a patriot President.

Musharraf conducts test run of george w bush's strategy for next year's elections

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf declared a countrywide state of emergency Saturday, suspending the constitution and dismissing the Pakistan Supreme Court's chief justice for the second time.

President Pervez Musharraf explains his actions in a televised address Saturday.

The country is at a critical and dangerous juncture -- threatened by rising tensions and spreading terrorism, Musharraf said in a televised address to the nation after declaring martial law.

He also warned Pakistan is going through "some very rapid changes."

Despite immediate condemnation from within and outside his country, he insisted his actions were for the good of Pakistan and the move was to stabilize unrest.

The Supreme Court declared the state of emergency illegal, claiming Musharraf -- who also is Pakistan's military chief -- had no power to suspend the constitution, Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry said.

Shortly afterward, government troops came to Chaudhry's office and told him the president had dismissed him from his job.

Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar was quickly appointed to replace him, according to state television.

It was the second time Chaudhry was removed from his post. His ousting by Musharraf in May prompted massive protests, and he was later reinstated.

Musharraf was re-elected president in October, but the election is not yet legally official, because the Supreme Court is hearing constitutional challenges to Musharraf's eligibility filed by the opposition.

The next 5-year term is scheduled to begin November 15.

Diversity. Always diversity. I learn that the University of Delaware has instituted mandatory indoctrination of students to make them appreciate diversity. Delaware is going to eradicate racism, sexism, and all. It's going to make the world safe for diversity.

I thought diversity just meant that you had to buy a new bicycle three times a year.

From the university’s training material, “A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. 'The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination…."

The program (do read the original) is pure mind-control, as much as anything Goebbels or the Soviet Union employed. In training sessions, the student must confess to bad-thought, outline his diversity-failings in detail, and abase himself before a thought-leader. Progress in good-thought will be monitored and records kept. You must learn that you are an oppressor, and you must be reformed. We will tell you what to think. It is for your own good….

The national symptoms roll on. The United States is in the middle of a portentous abandonment, rapid now, of the ideas that led to the founding of the country, and certainly of what were previously regarded as the purposes of a university. It is the strangest damned thing I have seen. Americas never lived up to its ideals—who or what does?—but it actually tried to and at least said it wanted to. Often it succeeded. Now it deliberately reverses all it stood for.

Curious. Usually it is a government that imposes control over the population. Extreme governments of the right seek absolute control over behavior, and those of the left, over thought. But it is usually the government.

In America the universities do it—help do it, I should say, since government too works against what the country was. No gauleiter or commissar from Washington tells the universities what to inculcate. There is no need. All by themselves they abandon the notion of teaching the young to think for themselves. The tone is Marxist in its contempt for students, almost hostility: They are dough to be shaped. Behind this is the devouring passive aggression of minor minds who have found themselves in power.

Say It Isn’t So! Bruce Springsteen Is An Open Borders Advocate!

This is a column I didn’t want to write.

But when it comes to mass immigration, we at VDARE.COM treat all who support it equally—we come crashing down on them.

So it is, with disappointment, that I expose Bruce Springsteen as a blatant open borders and illegal immigration supporter.

What makes my depiction tough is that, through his music and high-energy concerts, Springsteen has provided millions like me with great pleasure.

The irony is that the "Boss" is an artist who, since his rock and roll beginnings thirty years ago in Asbury Park, New Jersey, has represented himself as an advocate for the American underdog.

Adding to the irony is that Springsteen is, I believe, sincere in his concern about the little guy and deeply disdainful of the federal government bureaucrats who serve themselves without regard for its citizens. Bruce never fails to plug the local food banks that have tables set up inside the arena where he is performing.

Yet what Springsteen misses—oh, so painfully—is the obvious connection between illegal immigration and the demise of the suffering middle-class.

That of course would yield $10,000,000 in just one day, and I can assure you it would drive the so-called “top tier” Republican candidates and their Democrat counterparts even crazier than they are. They already don’t know what to do. Some commentators have compared the Dr. No phenomenon to Ross Perot, who split the Bush I vote in 1992 and put the Arkansas rapist in power.

But Ross the Boss had the money to finance his own campaign, and his support was nowhere near as broad as Ron’s. Believe it or not, our military’s favorite candidate is Dr. No, who says we should immediately get out of Iraq. The Republican Party has not been able to arouse substantial interest in the black community, but word now arrives that Dr. No is the favorite Republican candidate of American blacks.

Yes, Howard Dean, like Ron, raised big money on the Internet. But Dean, now chairman of the Democrat National Committee, is not the man the people who contributed all that money thought he was. Dr. No is.

His support is erupting from every voting bloc in America, and now that he has appeared on the Jay Leno show, millions of Americans who had never heard of him know who he is and what he will do. Leno was friendly and Tom Cruise shook his hand, even though Ron apparently wasn’t sure who he is. Indeed, Johnny Rotten – whom I had never heard of – turns out to be a libertarian supporter, so you had better believe I am now a Sex Pistols fanatic.

Mexican Bureaucrats Call Mexican Field Workers “Filthy”!

bob note: this is something the average racist in the U.S. doesn't understand. the illegals (and many of he legal immigrants as well) which come to this country are not the whole story of mexico. in fact, we practically get the worst of the worst of mexico coming to this country. the educated, white, middle and upper class mexicans generally don't want to come to the U.S., they want to stay in their home country. and many of the illegals are in fact not mestizos but essentially pure indians.

In a recent story from La Jornada, one of Mexico City’s largest dailies, Adrián José Serrano, official of the agricultural day laborer program of the Social Development Secretariat, told members of the Field and Popular Organization Central that it isn't worthwhile to build shelters for the migrant indigenous who work in the fields of Jiménez, Chihuahua, because “they are filthy, they don't bathe or clean the rooms.”

Serrano added that, even though they are Mexican, the laborers “have another culture”. Another official added that the workers are “a social problem”.

New College immigration activists plan to protest a Saturday appearance by CNN's Lou Dobbs at the city's reading festival.

Dobbs, in town to promote his new book, has become an outspoken voice in the national immigration debate.

Activists say his reporting is biased and incorrect when it comes to illegal immigrants living in the United States.

"Lou Dobbs has been one of the instrumental factors in the propagation of hate and lies against immigrants," said Jose Manuel Godinez Samperio, an organizer and New College student. "We don't want him in the community."

The protest will act as a way to speak with residents about the controversial issue, to "get them more involved and educated on what's going on."

"He's not welcome in our community because his reporting pretty much boils down to hate speech," said Adam Roca, a New College alum.

It may be a cliche, but it is true: This letter is written not in anger, but in sorrow and concern. It is written to our friends about NRA staff who, tragically, have taken a course which, we believe, would be disastrous for the Second Amendment and the pro-gun movement.

Two of us are Life Members of the NRA -- one of whom was an NRA board member for over ten years. And our legislative counsel was a paid consultant for the NRA.

So we certainly have no animus against the NRA staff, much less our wonderful friends who are NRA members.

In fact, over the last thirty years, GOA and its staff have worked with NRA to facilitate most of our pro-gun victories -- from McClure-Volkmer to the death of post-Columbine gun control to a gun liability bill free of anti-gun "killer amendments."

But those who staff the NRA, without consulting the membership, have now made a series of strange and dangerous alliances with the likes of Chuck Schumer, Carolyn McCarthy, and Pat Leahy. And we believe that, if allowed to continue, this will produce anti-gun policies which the NRA staff will bitterly regret.

Christ said, in the Sermon on the Mount, that "by their fruits, ye shall know them." And, frankly, these fruits are not likely to produce much pro-gun legislation.

Substantively, the Leahy/McCarthy/Schumer bill, which NRA's staff has vigorously supported without consulting with its membership, would rubber-stamp the illegal and non-statutory BATFE regulations which have already been used to strip gun rights from 110,000 veterans. It would also allow an anti-gun administration to turn over Americans' most private medical records to the federal instant check system without a court order.

But perhaps even worse, the bill was hatched in secret, without hearings or testimony, and passed out of the House without even a roll call. And now, the sponsors are trying to do the same thing in the Senate -- in an effort to ram the bill through without votes or floor debate, led by anti-gun Senator Chuck Schumer. If it is good legislation, as its proponents claim, why such fears of a roll call vote or debate in committee?

Indeed, in the face of horrific dissent from the NRA's own membership, its staff has tragically ignored arguments and dug in its heels -- in an almost "because-we-say-so" attitude.

Understand this:

* Passage of McCarthy/Leahy/Schumer will not quell the calls for gun control. To the contrary, it will embolden our enemies to push for the abolition of even more of our Second Amendment rights. Already, the Brady Campaign has indicated its intent to follow up this "victory" with a push for an effective ban on gun shows.

* Passage of McCarthy/Leahy/Schumer will not be viewed as an "NRA victory." To the contrary, once the liberal media has used the NRA staff for its purposes, it will throw them away like a used Kleenex. Already, an over-confident press is crowing that this is the "first major gun control measure in over a decade."

* Taking the BATFE's horrifically expansive unlawful regulations dealing with veterans' loss of gun rights and making them unchangeable congressionally-endorsed statutory law is NOT "maintaining the status quo."

* We are told that the McCarthy/Leahy/Schumer bill should be passed because it contains special provisions to allow persons prohibited from owning guns to get their rights restored. But there is already such a provision in the law; it is 18 U.S.C. 925(c). And the reason why no one has been able to get their rights restored under CURRENT LAW is that funds for the system have been blocked by Chuck Schumer. It is no favor to gun owners for Chuck Schumer -- the man who has blocked funding for McClure-Volkmer's "relief from disability" provisions for 15 years -- to now offer to give us back a tepid version of the provisions of current law which he has tried so hard to destroy.

Finally, there is the cost, which ranges from $1 billion in the cheapest draft to $5 billion -- to one bill which places no limits whatsoever on spending. Thus, we would be drastically increasing funding for gun control -- at a time when BATFE, which has done so much damage to the Second Amendment, should be punished, rather than rewarded.

We would now respectfully ask the NRA staff to step back from a battle with its membership -- and to join with us in opposing McCarthy/Leahy/Schumer gun control, rather than supporting it.

And, to our friends and NRA members, we would ask that you take this letter and pass it onto your friends and colleagues.

Bush compares bin Laden to Hitler and Lenin

WASHINGTON, November 2 (RIA Novosti) - U.S. President George W. Bush blasted Congress in a Thursday speech for failing to take the terrorist threat seriously, and compared Osama bin Laden to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin.

In a speech to the Heritage Foundation, a Washington-based right-wing think tank, he defended U.S. military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, and urged Democrat-controlled Congress not to restrict funding for Iraq operations, limit anti-terrorist intelligence-gathering methods, or block his appointment of a new attorney general.

He said that six years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, there is "a temptation to think that the threats to our country have grown distant," but warned that "the terrorists who struck America that September morning intend to strike us again."

"History teaches that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake. In the early 1900s, the world ignored the words of Lenin, as he laid out his plans to launch a Communist revolution in Russia - and the world paid a terrible price. The Soviet Empire he established killed tens of millions, and brought the world to the brink of thermonuclear war," Bush said.

And that’s the good news. It assumes there is a successor administration and that no Cheney-contrived "national emergency" will make it possible for Bush to test drive National Security Presidential Directive/NSPD-51 and Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-20 to cancel the 2008 election.

Neoconservatives led by vice president Dick Cheney remain determined to effect "regime change" in Iran. The allegation of weapons of mass destruction falsely brought against Iraq is now being deployed against Iran.

The International Atomic Energy Agency says that there is no evidence that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. The IAEA is the institution that polices the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty by inspecting the nuclear facilities of the signatories to the treaty of which Iran is one. However, the neocon/Cheney/Bush regime is prepared to bomb Iran on the basis of fibs alone.

Sinking Currency, Sinking Country

The euro, worth 83 cents in the early George W. Bush years, is at $1.45.

The British pound is back up over $2, the highest level since the Carter era. The Canadian dollar, which used to be worth 65 cents, is worth more than the U.S. dollar for the first time in half a century.

Oil is over $90 a barrel. Gold, down to $260 an ounce not so long ago, has hit $800.

Have gold, silver, oil, the euro, the pound and the Canadian dollar all suddenly soared in value in just a few years?

Nope. The dollar has plummeted in value, more so in Bush's term than during any comparable period of U.S. history. Indeed, Bush is presiding over a worldwide abandonment of the American dollar.

Is it all Bush's fault? Nope.

The dollar is plunging because America has been living beyond her means, borrowing $2 billion a day from foreign nations to maintain her standard of living and to sustain the American Imperium.

The prime suspect in the death of the dollar is the massive trade deficits America has run up, some $5 trillion in total since the passage of NAFTA and the creation of the World Trade Organization in 1994.

In 2006, that U.S. trade deficit hit $764 billion. The current account deficit, which includes the trade deficit, plus the net outflow of interest, dividends, capital gains and foreign aid, hit $857 billion, 6.5 percent of GDP. As some of us have been writing for years, such deficits are unsustainable and must lead to a decline of the dollar.

A sinking dollar means a poorer nation, and a sinking currency has historically been the mark of a sinking country. And a superpower with a sinking currency is a contradiction in terms.

What does this mean for America and Americans?

America’s Armageddonites

Utopian fantasies have long transfixed the human race. Yet today a much rarer fantasy has become popular in the United States. Millions of Americans, the richest people in history, have a death wish. They are the new “Armageddonites,” fundamentalist evangelicals who have moved from forecasting Armageddon to actually trying to bring it about.

Most journalists find it difficult to take seriously that tens of millions of Americans, filled with fantasies of revenge and empowerment, long to leave a world they despise. These Armageddonites believe that they alone will get a quick, free pass when they are “raptured” to paradise, no good deeds necessary, not even a day of judgment. Ironically, they share this utopian fantasy with a group that they often castigate, namely fundamentalist Muslims who believe that dying in battle also means direct access to Heaven. For the Armageddonites, however, there are no waiting virgins, but they do agree with Muslims that there will be “no booze, no bars,” in the words of a popular Gaither Singers song.

These end-timers have great influence over the U.S. government’s foreign policy. They are thick with the Republican leadership. At a recent conference in Washington, congressional leader Roy Blunt, for example, has said that their work is "part of God's plan." At the same meeting, where speakers promoted attacking Iran, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay glorified “end times.” Indeed the Bush administration often consults with them on Mideast policies. The organizer of the conference, Rev. John Hagee, is often welcomed at the White House, although his ratings are among the lowest on integrity and transparency by Ministry Watch, which rates religious broadcasters. He raises millions of dollars from his campaign supporting Israeli settlements on the West Bank, including much for himself. Erstwhile presidential candidate Gary Bauer is on his Board of Directors. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson also both expressed strong end-times beliefs.

The judge who sued his dry cleaner for $54 million in a dispute over a pair of pants got a big kick in the pants yesterday when he lost his job.

Judge Roy Pearson, was unsuccessful in his $54 million lawsuit over a pair of pants in June. He reportedly was fired from his position yesterday.

Roy L. Pearson Jr. has been ordered to vacate his offices in the nation's capital, sources told the Washington Post.

A judicial committee said it reviewed Pearson's history of decisions and audiotapes of proceedings over which he presided and found he did not demonstrate "appropriate judgment and judicial temperament," the anonymous source said.

Pearson also was reportedly criticized for displaying a "combative" nature with supervisors and colleagues and for failing to comply with policies in drafting opinions.

Attacking Iran for Israel?

Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is at her mushroom-cloud hyperbolic best, and this time Iran is the target.

Her claim last week that “the policies of Iran constitute perhaps the single greatest challenge to American security interests in the Middle East and around the world” is simply too much of a stretch.

To gauge someone’s reliability, one depends largely on prior experience. Sadly, Rice’s credibility suffers in comparison with that of the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohammed ElBaradei, who insists there is no evidence of an active nuclear weapons program in Iran.

If this sounds familiar, ElBaradei said the same thing about Iraq before it was attacked. But three days before the invasion, American nuclear expert Dick Cheney told NBC’s Tim Russert, “I think Mr. ElBaradei is, frankly, wrong.”

Here we go again. As in the case of Iraq, U.S. intelligence has been assiduously looking for evidence of a nuclear weapons program in Iran; but, alas, in vain.

Burned by the bogus “proof” adduced for Iraq—the uranium from Africa, the aluminum tubes—the administration has shied away from fabricating nuclear-related “evidence.”

Are Bush and Cheney again relying on the Rumsfeld dictum, that “the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence?” There is a simpler answer.

Ron Paul Is a TV Star

Yesterday afternoon, when we pulled up at NBC studios in Burbank, hundreds of Ron's typically diverse and enthusiastic supporters cheered and cheered. Young and old, black, Asian and white, families and hippies, entrepreneurs and professionals, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and anarchists, they had come from all over California, and from Nevada, Washington, and Oregon too. They had been there since 5:00am to ensure that they had tickets to the Tonight Show. I wondered: how much would, say, the Giuliani campaign had have to pay people to do that? These self-organizing volunteers hadn't even had to be asked.

Then it was time to go, and as we pulled into the VIP parking lot, a big African-American security guard trotted up to the car, pointed and shouted: "Ron Paul! I love you!" An NBC page took us to the parking space near Jay Leno's Star Trek-looking motorcycle (although, to date myself, I thought: this is where Johnny Carson parked his Corvette).

Staffers took us into the green room, then Jay—in blue jeans and a jean shirt—came into to go over what he planned to ask with Ron and to shoot funny lines back and forth. Jay, David Berg the segment producer, and everyone else were friendly and respectful to Ron, and there was little of the high-tension that is supposed to be the case at a certain other late-night show, where the host is famously nasty to the staff.

Tom Cruise stopped in twice to talk to Ron, who he thanked for long opposing federal mental-health screening of school children, federal drugging of school children, and the state as Big Shrink. (The other main guest, libertarian Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, hailed Ron as “President Paul.”)

don't be fooled though, the bushes and the clintons are two faces of the same group. guilliani is not a member but is owned by them. john kerry is a member. they really want hillary to be elected but they will settle for guilliani. people seem to be convinced hillary is likely to win, but when all is said and done i think guilliani would beat her. %80 to %90 of the congress is not involved directly with this group, but they follow their leaders who are directly involved.

the problem with a conspiracy (and they are facing that problem now with ron paul's growing support and finances)is the more people you let into the group, the less power you have, but the fewer people you let into the group, the easier it becomes for it to slip out of you control.

Watson neither endorsed segregation nor expressed any animus toward people of color. He had simply told The Sunday Times he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours—whereas all the testing says not really."

While there is a natural desire to believe all people are equal, Watson said, "people who have to deal with black employees find this not true."

In his new book, Watson adds, "There is no firm reason to anticipate that the intellectual capacities of peoples geographically separated in their evolution should prove to have evolved identically. Our wanting to reserve equal powers of reason as some universal heritage of humanity will not be enough to make it so."

On the Liberty Papers Blog, White Nationalists were attacked for supporting Ron Paul and being among other things, Totalitarian and against liberty. You can read the original writing here.

I decided it was time to have a go at these self-righteous hypocrites who call themselves American patriots and then attack us for having the same racial views of their Patron Saint Thomas Jefferson.

You can join in as well on this blog, I am sure that a vast majority of the "conservatives" who read this blog will agree with every line I have written.

Here is my response to their screed:

Yes, I have read your article and couldn't more strongly disagree.

You need to stop listening to what the media says about the White nationalist movement. Most White nationalists are not National Socialists in views of government or economics.

As a member of the House of Representatives in Louisiana I voted against every tax increase, every increase in government power and law, and consitently for more individual freedom and rights. That record can be verified by anyone.

No one, I repeat, no one in the legislature had a more libertarian record than perhaps one man, my friend Rep. Woody Jenkins who had a similar voting record.

Do, I want to preserve the White people, the people who created our freedoms, constitution, and the greatness of this country? Yes, of course I do.

Do I want to see White Americans become a small minority and let groups who support far leftist policies of the NAACP and La Raza become the voting majority in America. You are damn right I don't.

Do I have opinions on race similar to the founding fathers of America? Yes.

I think you must be intelligent enough to know that Thomas Jefferson, the main architect of our freedoms and liberties, made far more "racist" statements than I have.

The men who wrote the Constitution of the United States in one of their first acts of government made an immigration law that specifically limited immigration into America to White Christians. Are they Nazis and totalitarians too? Why don't you condemn the American patron saint of individual liberty for strongly advocating a complete separation of the races. Why don't you call Jefferson a Nazi too?

The truth is that I am far more a traditional American in my racial views than you. It might pain you to admit that but any impartial observer who has the slightest knowledge of American history.

In fact, I am far more moderate. While our founding fathers tolerated and legalized the introduction of millions of slaves in America, I would have not allowed slavery or the bringing of one slave into these United States.

You really need to stop repeating lies from the same media that attack every American freedom and tradition.

My operating theory of how Obama wins the nomination goes like this:

Hillary has the early lead based on name ID. But the more voters realize there are alternatives, the more they'll stray from Hillary. Since she has no room to grow (her negatives are huge), she has but one way to go -- down. how is ron paul's donations comming along? we won't know till july 15 but i think it's safe to assume he will be the highest of the non media annointed candidates. what does that mean for the campaign? i think ron paul can do so much more than the other candidtes on so much less money that the big wig neocons will get a big surprise. ron doesn't need to pay ground workers, he has motivated volunteers. he doesn't need a leased 757 to campaign in like kerry last time, he has the frequent flyer miles to upgrade to first class on commercial flights. he doesn't need to pay for polling and focus groups to find out what he beleives, he allready knows what he beleives.

it would be nice to have the money of romney to run tv ads in iowa and new hampshire, but really, how effective are tv ads really beyond name recognition. ron paul's ace in the hole is that new hampshire has semi-open primaries. registered independents may vote in either primary and most voters in new hampshire are independents. if romney, guillianna, mccain and fred thompson are all in the race then they will divide the pro-war vote, ron paul will get the independent anti-war vote and will win the new hampshire primary with any thing over 25%.

EDIT: "ron Paul's grandson, matt pyett, who is working for the campaign, recently blogged that they were up to 2.1 million. but he has since removed that part of his blog post. i guess we'll all have to wait till july 15 when the official reports are released. i'm sure they hope people will get excited that the 2nd quarter number will be big and cause them to boost there donations this month in anticipation.

this article has unamed sources saying ron paul's contributions are now up to 4 to 5 million dollars. if this is true and he can get up to 6 or 7 million in the 2nd quarter report which will be issued july 15 this should easily put him in 4th in fundraising and make the media sit up and take notice.

i don't really know what to make of all the polls, some bloggers have said that ron has a lot of young twenty something supporters who have only cellphones and so get left out of the landline telephone polls. I have also read some bloggers say that at this point in their years jimmy carter and bill clinton were at one percent in national polls. of course zogby's new hampshire poll taken the day of the fox debate and the day after has ron 5th at 3% behind fred thomson at 6% who isn't even running.

they say that pollsters have only included ron in 5 of 32 state polls taken this year and left him out of polls in states where he would do best, specifically texas. since his district is in texas and he ran in the republican senate primary in 1984 i would think at least his name recognition would be higher in texas. plus justin raimondo and alex jones are pushing him on austin radio.

but the one thing i think we can really take heart in, i honestly beleive ron's hard core dedicated supporters outnumber the hard core dedicated supporters of all the other republican candidates combined. that is the reason why ron blows out myspace and youtube subscriptions and wins the online polls. and that holds promise for the stretch run coming up. all the other guys will have to pay large amounts of money to organize their "grassroots" organizations. ron paul will have as many volunteers as needed, free of charge.

also good news, the link above says ron's fundraising is 4th. i've seen elsewhere that they have seen a bump in fundraising this week and are hiring fulltime fundraisers and campaign managers for arizona, iowa and south carolina.

tancredo and hunter will probably have to drop out of the race this fall to file for reelection. thanks to the lyndon johnson law in texas ron can run for the presidential nomination and his house seat at the same time.
